Morling College Library is one of the largest theological libraries in Australasia.

The Gilbert Wright (Sydney), Heather and Noel Vose (Perth) and TJ Malyon (Brisbane) libraries support the teaching and research of Morling College.  Our libraries are open to current Morling College students, staff & community borrowers – borrowing from the collection may incur an annual fee for community borrowers.   For more information on becoming a Community Borrower, please visit our Membership Page.

Gilbert Wright Library (Sydney)

The Gilbert Wright Library is named to commemorate the contribution of the Rev. B. Gilbert Wright, who was Vice Principal of the College for fifteen years and Principal for ten years.  Wright was a strong supporter of the library, providing continuous funding as part of his administrative duties and reorganising the library.  This support of the library was further fostered through his experience travelling through the US to various theological colleges.  Wright would be proud to see his vision continue.

The Gilbert Wright Library is home to over 45,000 print books and access to thousands of eBooks and journals.

Sydney Library Hours - MALC Level 2 (during Semester):

Monday 9am to 5pm
Tuesday & Wednesday 9am to 6:45pm
Thursday & Friday 9am to 5pm

All weekends and public holidays: Closed

MALC Level 1 Study Hub

  • The level 1 Study Hub is a shared space for quiet study and group learning
  • Access via the Level 1 foyer is typically available from 8.30am to 10.00pm weekdays during Semester
  • The Study Hub is accessible at other times with a student swipe card
  • Full guidelines are available on the Study Hub noticeboard

Perth Library Hours (During Semester):

When the Library is closed, books can be returned via the after-hours Returns Chute.

Heather and Noel Vose Library (Perth)

Morling Perth - Vose Campus 20 Hayman Rd, Bentley, WA 6102

The Heather and Noel Vose Library is named in commemoration of Drs. Noel and Heather Vose. Noel was a graduate of Morling College and was founding principal of the Baptist Theological College of Western Australia; he also served as president of the Baptist World Alliance from 1985 to 1990. Noel's wife Heather was an academic specialising in Western Australian history and a great supporter of the college and its library. It is fitting for the library to retain the Vose name and honour both Heather and Noel.

The Heather and Noel Vose library is home to over 53,000 print books and access to thousands of journals. Our collection includes a broad range of Christian perspectives as well as secular writers, with an evangelical focus and a Baptist heritage. Most of our collection may be borrowed by members.

TJ Malyon Library (Brisbane)

Morling Brisbane Campus - 53 Prospect Rd, Gaythorne, QLD 4051

The TJ Malyon Library stands as a tribute to the vision of Reverend TJ Malyon, who in 1904 pioneered Baptist theological training in Queensland. Malyon conducted lectures at the City Tabernacle Baptist Church Tower Room and continued this throughout World War One. He remained principal until his passing in 1921. The library retains the Malyon name in honour of the founding principal of the college.

The TJ Malyon Library is home to over 32,000 print books and provides access to thousands of journal articles and eBooks. The collection has a strong emphasis on Baptist heritage, practical theology and leadership, philosophy, missiology and an extensive range of biblical studies resources. The library includes up-to-date materials that support critical thinking and a deep understanding of faith, culture, and history.
