Kara Martin

BA (Comm) MCom MA(Chr Stud)

Kara currently lectures in our Bible and Theology faculty in areas such as leadership development and faith and work.

Kara also serves more broadly across Morling College as Coordinator for Women’s Leadership and Empowerment, a role that involves connecting across the whole College community. An important focus of this role is designing and establishing a leadership training pathway for women in a variety of ministry contexts—pastoral, cross-cultural mission, and workplace settings. Her role also involves encouraging spaces where women can grow and fostering meaningful opportunities for networking and mentoring among female students.

Author of Keeping Faith and Workship 1 and 2, Kara is also an Adjunct Professor in Leadership at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Massachusetts, USA), and she mentors leaders for Regent College (Vancouver, Canada) and the Salvation Army. She also serves as Co-Chair of Theology of Work.

Kara worships at Harbourside Baptist, Mosman, and enjoys kayaking and reading.
